National Scholarship Portal (NSP) Applications Closing on 30 November 2025: List of Available Schemes

The National Scholarship Portal (NSP) has announced that the application window for the Academic Year 2025-26 is currently open. However, students must hurry as the last date to submit applications is fast approaching. The deadline for most major central and UGC schemes is set for November 30, 2025.

Many students assume they are not eligible and miss out on financial support. This portal covers a wide range of categories including SC, ST, OBC, Students with Disabilities, and even General category students pursuing higher education. If you haven't checked your eligibility yet, now is the time.

List of Major Schemes Open for Application

Based on the latest notification, the following schemes are currently accepting applications. Please identify which category fits your profile:

1. For Scheduled Tribe (ST) Students

• Ministry of Tribal Affairs: National Fellowship and Scholarship for Higher Education of ST Students.

2. For Scheduled Caste (SC) Students

• Dept of Social Justice & Empowerment: Central Sector Scholarship of Top Class Education for SC Students.

3. For OBC, EBC, and DNT Students

• Ministry of Social Justice: PM YASASVI Central Sector Scheme of Top Class Education in College for OBC, EBC, and DNT Students.

4. For Students with Disabilities

• Scholarship for Top Class Education for Students with Disabilities.
• Post Matric Scholarship for Students with Disabilities.

5. For College & University Students (General/Merit)

• Dept of Higher Education: Central Sector Scheme of Scholarships for College and University Students (CSSS).

6. UGC/AICTE Schemes (Post Graduation)

• National Scholarship for Post Graduate Studies.

7. For Wards of Defence & Police Personnel

• Ministry of Home Affairs: Prime Minister's Scholarship Scheme for Wards of States/UTs Police Personnel Martyred During Terror/Naxal Attacks.

• NEC, DoNER: Financial Support to Students of North Eastern Region for Higher Professional Courses (NEC Merit Scholarship).

How to Apply

The application process is fully online. Follow these steps to ensure your application is submitted before the deadline:

1. Visit the Portal: Go to the official National Scholarship Portal (scholarships.gov.in).
2. Check Eligibility: Use the "Scheme Eligibility" section to see which schemes apply to you.
3. Register/Login: If you are a new student, complete your One Time Registration (OTR). Existing students can simply login.
4. Fill Application: Enter your academic details and upload necessary documents (Income Certificate, Caste Certificate, Marksheets, etc.).
5. Submit: Review your form carefully and hit submit before November 30, 2025.
