Trinity College Dublin E3 Scholarship 2026: Get Up to €5,000 Fee Reduction (Non-EU Students)

Trinity College Dublin (TCD), Ireland's leading university, has opened applications for the E3 Balanced Solutions for a Better World Scholarship for the 2026 academic intake. This scholarship is designed for international (Non-EU) students pursuing degrees in Engineering, Environment, and Emerging Technologies (E3).

The scholarship offers significant financial aid. Undergraduate students can receive awards valued between €2,000 and €5,000 for one year, or even a renewable scholarship of €4,000 per year for all four years of study. Postgraduate students are eligible for one-year awards up to €5,000. The first batch deadline is 1st February 2026.

Eligible Majors and Courses

This scholarship supports the E3 initiative (Engineering, Environment, and Emerging Technologies). You must hold an offer for one of the following programs:

Undergraduate Programs:

• BAI Engineering / Engineering with Management
• Biological and Biomedical Science
• Geography and Geoscience
• Computer Science (Single or Joint Honours with Business, Linguistics, Geography, Economics)
• Environmental Science and Engineering
• Management Science and Information Systems Studies

Postgraduate Programs:

• Full-time taught masters in the School of Engineering.
• Full-time taught masters in the School of Computer Science and Statistics.
• Full-time taught masters in the School of Natural Sciences.
• MSc in Energy Science.

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered, you must meet the following requirements:

• Fee Status: You must have Non-EU status and pay tuition fees at the non-EU rate.
• Admission: You must hold a valid offer letter for first-year entry into one of the eligible programs listed above.
• Merit: Selection is based on academic achievement and your potential to contribute to the E3 initiative.

Application Process: The 200-Word Statement

The application form is simple, but the most critical part is the personal statement. You are required to write 200 words on the following topic:

"How I will contribute to the E3 Initiative and provide Balanced Solutions for a Better World at Trinity College Dublin."

Application Deadlines (Batch System)

TCD reviews applications in batches. Applying early is highly recommended to secure funding.

• 1st Batch Deadline: 1st February 2026 (Results: 1st March)
• 2nd Batch Deadline: 15th March 2026 (Results: 15th April)
• 3rd Batch Deadline: 1st May 2026 (Results: 31st May)

Applications received after May 1st will be assessed on a rolling basis, subject to budget availability.
